Chescoe received a call from a Guernsey loss adjuster, asking us to attend a house that had a hot water vessel fail, resulting in ground and first floor flooding of the house. The kitchen and bathroom were unusable and the owner had to move out of the house whilst the remedial works were undertaken.
Chescoe quickly prepared a technical specification in a schedule of works and invited reputable builders to tender. We analysed the tender and administered the contract with the builder and the client on behalf of the insurance company and the loss adjuster. The project went smoothly and the home-owners had the assurance that they would be back in their house without unnecessary delays.
